Simple Herbal Ice Cubes

Simple Herbal Ice Cubes

Posted by Lynda Houston on 16th May 2019

Now that many of my herbs have been planted behind my boho bungalow, I am working on freezing them for cooking during the fall and winter.

Frozen herbs work well in salads, soups, sauces and more, and I can't wait to press my cubes into service when the

weather cools.

Plastic ice cube trays are perfect for storing chopped herbs. They freeze well with a little bit of olive oil or water.

Chop your herbs ( I use my food processor), place in the ice cube tray, then cover them with just enough olive oil or

water.

Freeze for at least 2 hours, remove your cubes, store in a plastic container and use within 6 months.

Here are some herbs I have been freezing:

*chives

*dill

*cilantro

*green onion

*parsley
