At Salvage & Bloom, my purpose is to design creatively, but act with empathy. Nature is what inspires every product we make. In turn, my duty as a small business owner is to protect my planet. In doing that, I donate to two charities - one for animals and one for humans. We're in this together in one big house.
My Bottom Line:
*to encourage an appreciation and respect for Nature
*to make and sell insanely unique, sustainable, and artistic wood and metal wall flowers
*to make a profit.
*to effectively use some of that profit to support local organizations dedicated to ensuring the protection of animals, humans and the environment.
Currently Salvage & Bloom supports:
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary: Located in Ravenna, Ohio, and serving the entire state, this non-profit organization rescues, rehabilitates, and provides an adoption program for abused, abandoned, and neglected farm animals, including horses, pigs, chickens, goats and cattle. Working in cooperation with county humane societies and law enforcement, the animals that come to Happy Trails are those that have been removed from an abuse/neglect situation, in which cruelty charges have been filed.
Additionally, I'm a big believer in "adopt don't shop," when it comes to finding the right pet for your home and family. If you're interested in knowing more about the benefits of pet adoption, read the Ultimate Guide To Pet Adoption.
MindPeace Cincinnati - This non-profit organization collaborates with many community partners like Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, to advocate for customized mental health solutions to better serve our children.
